I completed my Bachelor of Arts at the Prahran Campus of Victoria College in 1983, majoring in drawing and graduating with honours, winnings the G.B. Arches-Rives Drawing Award. During this time I studied for 4 years under Pam Hallandal. I went on to be employed by a number of textile printing companies as a designer andhave continued working in the field of Art and Design for over 30 years.
I currently work as a designer for Garrett Design, a company owned and operated by my husband and myself where I work on a variety of projects, from designing graphics, textile prints, embroidery, applique and packaging to designing State & National sports awards medals.
I have worked on many voluntary projects for kindergartens, schools & clubs, creating theatre backdrops, murals, masks and costumes along with a huge variety of educational displays and other customized art. For the past few years, I have also been teaching small group drawing classes from our home and pursuing my own practice as a fine artist.
