Margaret Amond
Synopses
For many years Margaret concentrated on painting with acrylic on canvas but more recently she has also worked with mixed media on paper, using acrylic, watercolour, ink, conte and collage. She finds great joy in colour and textiles and tries to share her enthusiasm with friends and family. Another interest is sculpture especially ceramic heads. She is a member of the Association of Sculptors of Victoria.
Since joining in 1972 she has regularly exhibited with Beaumaris Art Group and has also held several successful solo and joint exhibitions of paintings and sculptures in her studio in Black Rock. Her work has found itself to England and Singapore by way of sales and commissions. In 2007 she won first prize in the annual Bayside ‘En Plein Air’ exhibition.
Margaret was President of Beaumaris Art Group for two years in 2003/04 during its 50th anniversary and continues to enjoy participating in its activities.
