Barbara Cameron
Synopses
Barbara Cameron has been painting for many years, studying with artists George Bell and Terrence Hadley, and painting classes at Beaumaris Art Group and Mentone Mordialloc Art Group.
Australia's outback landscapes are featured in Barbara work. The paintings are based on her extensive travels throughout Australia's north and her visit to the pink sand dunes of outback Mungo National Park in western New South Wales. She strives to bring life to outback and tropical rainforest landscapes and abstracts, highlighting the luminous colours of desert, land and sky.
Barbara is very interested in the underwater life at Ricketts Point, Beaumaris, in Melbourne, so there are several paintings of the leafy seadragons, seahorses and zebra fish that inhabit the surrounding Port Phillip Bay.
There are also some works in the abstract genre. Here intense colours and designs feature again.
