Workshops

Agata Lelek Demonstration

On Saturday 17th July, we were treated to an inspirational demonstration by well known
portrait artist, Agata Lelek.

Agata, a well known teacher and artist who is represented by Jenny Pihan Fine Art Gallery, demonstrated her method of capturing the essence of a portrait using black and white pastels with a methylated spirits wash. The results were quite dramatic to say the least! Although most of us present were not specifically portrait artists, we were all truly inspired and able to learn some valuable tips to use in our own work. Agata`s demonstration helped open our minds to experimenting and thus developing new skills and to therefore grow as artists.
As a result of her demonstration, places in her workshop filled up quickly, predominantly by non BAGS members.

Several high profile artists have been invited to run more demonstrations and workshops in our BAGS premises over the next few months. Please consider attending in support of BAGS and your own artistic journey.

Helen Hargreaves and Vivi Palegeorge.
