Michelle Zuccolo
Michelle has taught art at the Beaumaris Art Group for over ten years. She
teachers Children and Teenage Art Programs and well as Adult Art
Classes.
Michelle graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, Victorian College of
Art and Design, Melbourne in 1983. She achieved a Diploma of Education,
Melbourne College of Advanced Education in 1985, and completed her Master of
Arts (Visual Arts) at the University of Ballarat 2004-07. In 1987 she received
the Desiderous Orban Youth Award from
the Australian Arts Council.
She has held various art teaching positions
at secondary and tertiary levels during the past 25 years and currently teachers
at the Sophia Mundi Steiner School, Melbourne.
Since 1984 Michelle has
had her artwork included many national exhibitions such as the Mornington Peninsula Arts Centre Spring Festival of
Drawing in 1985 and 1989, Castlemaine
State Festival, Dominique Segan Drawing Prize 2007, Williamstown Contemporary Art Prize, 2007 & 2009, How Now Cow, Ballarat Fine Art Gallery, 2007
and Divisioni Interna with Eolo Paul
Bottaro at the Ballarat Fine Art Gallery, 2007/8. She has been a finalist in the Adelaide Perry Prize for Drawing,
Presbyterian Ladies College, Sydney in 2007. 2008 and 2009. She was selected to
represent the University of Ballarat in the Hatched 07 National Graduate Show, Perth
Institute of Contemporary Arts, 2008. In the same year she was included in the Seventh Drawing Biennale, Drill Hall
Gallery, ANU Canberra.
Michelle has traveled extensively throughout
Europe, Britain, America, Canada, New Zealand and Asia, visiting major art
galleries and museums. She is passionate about art and dedicated to teaching
pupils of all age groups.
